Updating plumbing in a historic home takes careful planning. For this early-1900s property, Josh Mintz Plumbing transformed an outdated mechanical room into a clean, organized system built around a new Rinnai tankless water heater and a custom copper water manifold.

The original room contained aging equipment, an existing tank-style water heater, and older water distribution piping. Our team removed the outdated components and installed a new tankless water heater along with a dedicated manifold that brings the home's water lines together in one accessible location.

A cleaner, more accessible water distribution system

The new manifold gives the homeowner a simple way to identify and isolate individual water lines. Each line has its own shutoff valve and label, making future service and maintenance more straightforward. The copper piping was laid out neatly along the mechanical-room wall to create a system that is easier to understand and access.

The completed installation replaces the old tank water heater with a compact wall-mounted Rinnai tankless unit. This frees up floor space while delivering hot water on demand.
